Contemporary Artists

“In its most basic sense, the umbrella term contemporary art refers to art – namely, painting, sculpture, photography, installation, performance, and video art – produced today.”

This edition of the Lyceum’s humanities highlight features a variety of contemporary artists! Each artist’s page is designed to inspire deeper exploration. It includes a brief introduction, selected works, readings, and discussion questions to use in your classrooms. Some artists will also include “museum highlights”: a video walkthrough of their artwork in a museum!
